Creamy Rice Pudding
Serves 4
This hob-cooked creamy classic will warm you right up.

100g pudding rice
10g butter
25g sugar
650ml milk

1. Place the rice, milk, sugar and butter into a saucepan.
2. Bring to the boil stirring continuously.
3. Reduce heat. Simmer for 30-35 mins Stirring occasionally.
4. Sprinkle on some ground nutmeg or cinnamon and serve immediately.

100g pudding rice
10g butter
25g sugar
650ml milk

Oven 160C/fan 140C /gas mark 3

1. Preheat the oven to 160C/Fan 140C/ Gas mark 3.
2. Place the rice, milk, butter and sugar into a lightly greased 2l heat proof dish and stir well
3. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon and transfer to the preheated oven.
4. Bake in the centre of the oven for 40 mins.
5. Stir to separate the grains of rice and bake for another hour.
6. Bake until the rice is cooked and the surface is a golden brown colour.
7. Serve immediately.
